Both the 507 Comp and 507C X2 are intended for use on full size and compact pistols due to their larger size and footprint. If you had a sub or micro compact pistol, you would want something like the Holosun K Series.

The 507C X2 is meant to be a more all around every day carry optic, while the 507 Comp is intended for competition shooting. The size of the 507 Comp, may make it impractical for EDC.

Holosun 507 Comp vs 507C X2 Which is Better?

As you can see there are quite a few differences between the Holosun 507 Comp and the 507C X2. So which one should you get?

Well it depends. The 507 Comp is a competition optic, it’s made and designed for competition shooting, not so much concealed carry or as a carry optic. Can it be used that way? Sure, however it is quite large so that may be an issue.

The 507C X2 on the other hand is intended for more of a daily use, daily carry optic. It has features like solar failsafe and auto brightness which the 507 Comp does not. It’s also smaller and more concealable than the 507 Comp.

As for the reticles, the CRS and the MRS are in some ways similar. The CRS doesn’t have the little “hash” marks on the reticle but both the MRS and CRS have similar benefits of being able to pick up the dot when drawing the weapon by using the larger outer ring. The CRS just gives you a few more options.

Another factor to consider is price. The 507 Comp is $60 more than the 507C X2.
