The design of our horse shelters are completely customizable, constructed with the highest quality materials, and are a permanent structure with footings and anchors to the ground. A 12' x 16' run-in shed will allow room for two horses to come and go. A 12 ’x 18’ shed is usually adequate for three average-sized horses that will share their space without fighting. The interior of the horse shelter should be 8-10' high, as taller horses do not necessarily need more height on the open end. It is also recommended to consider building wider rather than deeper, to allow for easier access inside for multiple horses.

We offer a variety of foundation optionsthat match to your specific soil and site requirements. Our 26-gauge, commercial-quality Hi-Rib™ steel, which is more flexible and resists cracking during the roll-forming operations, is available in many colorsfor the roof and exterior walls. Steel panels used by many other builders are formed from 29-gauge, full hard steel, which has a higher tensile strength. But, with Morton’s higher rib height and thicker gauge, our Hi-Rib panels are stronger. In fact, Morton’s panels have rib height up to 33% higher and steel thickness that is up to 25% thicker than panels used by other builders. In addition, our steel panels are not welded but rather fastened with rust-proof screws and nails that add durability.
